WHAT IS CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY?
A Certificate of Conformity (CoC) is an official document that certifies a product or service meets the requirements, standards, and regulations set by MOIAT.
In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), two main types of Certificates of Conformity (CoC) are commonly required for products to be imported, sold, or used within the country: ECAS and EQM.
EMIRATES QUALITY MARK
- The EQM is a mark of conformity granted to products that demonstrate compliance with the relevant UAE National Standards, Regional and/or International Standards, and are manufactured by an organization implementing an effective Quality Management System to ensure ongoing compliance.
- An on-site factory audit is required.
- The EQM is both a voluntary and mandatory mark.
